CAMPING INFORMATION

We have a limited number of primitive sites available on a first-come, first served basis. There are no power hook-ups, and showers are available in the nearby Hocking College recreation center 8am-10pm.

Cost is $10/site/night
1 site = 2 tents / 6 people

Camping passes can be purchased at the gate the weekend of the festival or on our website (http://www.stuartsoperahouse.org/index.php?item=250)

HOCKING COLLEGE CAMPGROUND RULES & REGULATIONS

Please keep our grounds clean by gathering your refuse and disposing of it into the nearest dumpster or litter receptacle.

1) Camping is ONLY permitted in a designated area.
2) Any person camping is required to have his/her campsite registered. Display of an issued camping permit must be displayed in a conspicuous location attached to the tent or camper. Campers may register for more than one campsite. The total fees of campsites, for all nights, must be paid in full at the time of registration.
3) You must be 18 years of age or older to register for a campsite.
4) More than six persons shall not occupy a campsite. In the case of one family with several children the campground staff may make exceptions to this limit.
5) There shall be NO ATV’s (3 wheel; 4 wheel, 2 wheel) recreation vehicles or unlicensed vehicle permitted in the campgrounds.
6) Campfires are permitted within fire rings. Never leave a fire unattended. Fire pits are forbidden. Absolutely no cutting of trees or brush or burning of used lumber is permitted. Your campfire is for FIRE ONLY; please do not burn trash in your campfire. THE CAMPFIRE SHALL BE UNDER CONTROL AT ALL TIMES. Hocking College reserves the right to eliminate campfires.
7) Gas grills and charcoal grills are allowed on campgrounds.
8) Please be considerate of others by keeping noise to a minimum. Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. No vehicle traffic will be permitted after 1:00 a.m.
9) No PETS allowed on campgrounds.
10) All refuse must be placed in the provided dumpsters or litter receptacles.
11) Swimming is prohibited in the ponds.
12) Intoxicating beverages shall not be overtly consumed or displayed. Hocking College Campus Safety may evict or arrest any abusers without refund.
13) Fireworks are not permitted. Use of fireworks will be cause for removal without refund.
14) Firearms are not permitted on the grounds of Hocking College. Pursuant to Ohio law, concealed carry licensees cannot carry a firearm on the grounds of a public or private college or university. Possession of firearms will be cause for removal without refund.
15) Draining wastewater (gray water) onto the ground or into open containers is prohibited by the Ohio Department of Health. Discard wastewater in a specific disposal site only.
16) Shower facilities are available at the student center. Hours are 8am-10pm.

Nelsonville Art & Music Festival and/or Hocking College will not be responsible for accidents, or lost, or stolen items, nor wind, rain, flood or campfire damage. Hocking College and Campus Safety reserve the right to terminate the stay of any persons who willfully creates a disturbance to others with no refund. Nelsonville Art & Music Festival and/or Hocking College reserves the right to make any changes in the rules and regulations at any time.
